An occupational hazard of TGC's day job is developing crushes on librarians libraries. Thanks to Cooked Books, the fabulous blog of all things culinary from the NY Public Library, that happens in the virtual world now too. Today Rebecca unearths a treasure from 1975 (besides Fred Lynn) -- a menu for a dinner honoring Julia Child and James Beard. My favorite part are the Memphis Soul Stew style instructions for making Julia and James. They are not invulnerable to double entendres.

I cannot tell you how many people emailed me about this book. Also, Rebecca Federman=career covet.
