| San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl | Dec. 21 | 8 p.m. | San Diego | ESPN |
| TCU vs. Louisiana Tech |
If you enjoy offense, this matchup of the Horned Frogs and Bulldogs is for you. TCU are the Silas Lapham of college football, newly riche, but teetering on the brink of real respectability, and prone to stunts like changing conferences twice in a year. To judge from their splash page, the La Tech folks are excited about playing in a pre Xmas bowl, while TCU is all like, last year we were in Pasadena beating Wisconsin, and now we're playing a team from Ruston, LA. Both of these teams have been to visit the Cod's day job in recent years, and two very decent fanbases, save for the penchant TCU fans have for LaDanian Tomlinson memorabilia. I spoke to all eight of the La Tech fans who traveled w/ the team, and they individually seemed nice, and happy not to be in Baton Rouge.
San Diego is not a hotbed of artisanal stuff, but it is home to FOC the Linkery, serving some of the trillest pork anywheres, and proprietor Jay Porter is no fan of industrial pork. I have no idea if they will have the game on, but you can get you some tamales made w/ house-rendered lard, and get yourself to the stadium.

Oh, you can bet the game will be on. Thanks for the shout-out.
