Weird Beard

Thanks to OGIC, who sent the Cod an alert about the Beard Foundation award nominees. I am still working through my dudgeon in re the 500 best songs of all time, and the possibility of denying the freedom of the press to those who would suggest that there are 268 songs that are better than "Roadrunner,"  including "Shboom." Print the list of nominees, and have your own DIY bitchfest over lunch.  I cannot, however, restrain myself from pointing out that the only national category not dominated by New York restaurants is "hospitality." That said, nominating Topolobampo in this category is unfathomable. The Cod dined there last spring with Our Girl, cinetrix, and my parents, and I have never come so close to an actual Melanie "who do I have to fuck to get a Pepsi" Griffith-style tantrum. Like the Donner Party, except in the foyer of an overrated and expensive Mexican restaurant. In my small college town I routinely get better service from students with grade grudges against me.
