Welcome Grub Street readers. Don't believe the hype about talmudic hair-splitting here --a shoestring operation like this can't afford to keep that kind of talent on retainer. I'd argue that the Milli Vanilli argument is misleading -- it is a question of performance, and Vigneron really does perform, unlike MV. But the last 36 have seen far too much of my energy devoted to a chef from a TV show I've never seen, and a chef from a restaurant I've never visited. (If I had to choose one, I'd go with the res at at WD50). Rather than split hairs, spend some time in the kitchen with Michel Foucault, or enjoy my bastardization of a cherished Zuni receipt. Or peruse the categories to your right. There is something for everyone, especially fans of Stetsasonic and Tie Domi!
