Renewed Anchowers -- it's been a week or two. To ease back into it, some fish in a barrel -- real spicy fish, that is. It's the Sexy Cajun* Cooking DVD** cookbook. Cajun Boy gets most of it, but I would add, that, if you have a business model that is based on associating "sexy" and cooking, and your lead spokesperson, Sierra, is wearing a green do-rag and a camo bikini top that is heroically restraining improbably large breasts, and if you have a panning shot (at :59) from crab in right hand, to right breast, to cleavage, to left breast, to crab in left hand, well, that panning shot is likely to raise confusions between Callinectes sapidus, pictured, and Phthirus pubis, possibly present, but not pictured, that you would not have to worry about if you did the same shot with, say, Eric Ripert.
*Is "Cajun" to "Southern" as "Southern" is to "American"? That is, if, as I suspect, in the national imagination, the "South" is someplace (and one place) that is sexy/humid/dangerous, does "Cajun" denote the hotter/wetter/scarier subregion? **Even if this were otherwise a reasonable enterprise, the DVD format seems like a total non-starter for cookbooks.
I like this post called Cajun Sexy Cooking, is very interesting, I really enjoyed this information!
