Eater reports that Blue Seats, a high-end sports bar concept which the Cod was scolded for ridiculing, has closed. But fear not: "Noting that Ludlow just 'wasn't the place for the Blue Seats concept,' GM Robert Ceraso says he and his team are looking to reopen in Midtown where the bar could be more of a success. Is "looking to reopen in midtown" the high-end sports bar equivalent of "going to live on a farm in the country"? Maybe not. If there is a place in NYC for an sports bar concept this upscale, surely it is not among those squalid tenements of the LES made notorious by Jacob Riis. And speaking of the real blue seats, a Christmas memory:
Oh McNabb, you've done it again.
