There is one unimpeachable truth in the kitchenware business -- scared money don't make none. Thus. I was surprised when my inbox offered me the chance to save $170 on an All-Clad slow cooker from Williams-Sonoma. That's a markdown of over 50% from the original retail of three hundred dollars. Quite a bargain, until you remember that you could buy four slow cookers with the savings from the one you did not buy from Williams-Sonoma. I am happy to spend money on ingredients and tools that make a difference, but this is a damn crock pot, not a custom shotgun or whatever. Alternatively, you could not buy the Williams-Sonoma All Clad slow cooker, buy a Crock-Pot slow cooker for each of the members of the cast of 8 Femmes, and have money left over for postage. Or, you know, fold that money, put it in your pocket, and break off a check to a food bank, the which I heard on the radio are getting lots of new customers this year.
You know I think of you as I thumb through W-S's catalog, but this year's edition was so pitiful (with all the "bargains") that I almost felt bad for snickering. Almost.

I have the same views with him, thank you! While each person's point of view is not the same, but I basically agree with him.
