The Cabots eat nothing but ramen...

The Cod's birthplace is a noted ramen wasteland, but the hometown paper suggests that that's changing:

Die-hard ramenites will be pleased to learn that local chefs are hosting pop-up ramen nights. You go online to register for the dinners and they are so popular, you are lucky if you can get in. 

Sounds interesting, maybe, though a New Yorker will be wondering if Bostonians are plugging the dates into their Palm Pilots and riding Razr scooters to these events. The bigger news is that you can get a bowl of ramen at Clio for $10:

Uni Sashimi Bar at Clio in Back Bay began serving two ramen dishes this month, a traditional bowl with pork and another called umami with barbecued eel; they are served until 2 a.m. some nights ($10 a bowl). 

The article mentions another spot that does ramen on the reg, but quotes one of its principals saying "Ramen is the new black." Unfortunate, but given that they describe their spot as "A funky indie diner setting," maybe not a surprise.
