Been a minute since I rapped at you, but I made you something! As previously documented here, I have a perverse fascination with the "Statement by 8 Alabama Clergymen," AKA the document that motivated Dr. Martin Luther King's "Letter From Birmingham Jail." It is my conviction that the spirit of these 8 white men is alive and well today, whenever someone says it's the wrong time to acknowledge ongoing and pervasive racism, or when someone suggests that patience will solve a problem of four centuries duration. To test my theory, I made a Bingo card you can use to follow along with various commemorations of Dr. King's life, using phrases from this 1963 letter. Let me know how you do. Here is a link to the word doc for text and a bit more context. Download 8 Alabama Clergymen Bingo.
